We, human beings have a tendency to attain everything in a hurry. With the advancing age and ever-developing technologies, our level of patience is decreasing and it is very natural.

But we must be aware of the fact that the task of learning a new language can be an intimidating task and this requires a lot of patience and practice. It’s unattainable just like the instant 2-minute noodles!

Learning a new language and that too a language like Japanese requires a lot of patience, perseverance and hard work. Moreover, the learning duration may differ from learner to learner.

 

Why Learning Japanese is not that easy?

Learning of the Japanese Language is not such an easy task because the language is a bit critical in itself. It comprises of three distinct alphabet systems, unique grammar structures and difficult pronunciations. A dedicated and persistent method of studying is required. The time duration of learning the Japanese language may differ from learner to learner. This difference is based upon numerous factors such as: individual learning goals, basic proficiency, experience of learning other foreign languages, dedication etc.

For a beginner, even if you are starting your journey of learning the Japanese Language from scratch, it will take approximately 4-6 months to attain the desired beginner’s level with dedicated study.

After a learner acquires fundamentals, he/she can fill up the gap between the beginner and intermediate levels of learning the Japanese language within 6-9 months of proper dedicated study.

To attain the advanced level of the Japanese language, with all the abilities required to speak a new language, such as: proper vocabulary, appropriate grammar usage, proper construction of sentences, fluency, etc. it takes almost an estimated time slot of 3 years at the least.

Things which affect your level of attaining a certain Japanese language fluency goal:

  • Be consistent: Keep consistent learning goals as much as possible. Losing your consistency on learning and practicing a language may slow down your process of learning the Japanese language.
  • Practice speaking: Practicing the vocab of a certain language may excel your speed of learning a new language. Get yourself a language partner with whom you can converse and improve your Japanese language skills.
  • Proper guidance: Get yourself a proper guide who can point out your mistakes and teach new aspects of the Japanese language, everything that is necessary. You may even enroll yourselves into a proper Japanese language course for excelling yourself.
  • Immerse yourself: You must emerge yourself in the language which you want to learn. Observe all the things and elements associated with the Language and try to absorb from the surroundings.

 

Learning Japanese is not as difficult as people think:

Japanese is known to be a challenging language. Learning takes plenty of practice, patience and perseverance before you reach the point of perfection. But it’s completely okay!
